Welcome to our TimeBank!
This is an inclusive TimeBank with change-making community advocates and TimeBank members to share resources and knowledge about timebanking through events, offers, and requests.
Together, we are making this movement move through kindness, collaboration, and respect. In this space, we share resources, mentorship, friendship, and time.
What is TimeBanking?
TimeBanking is a unique way of building community through trust, where members depend on one another.
You can earn credits by giving your time to help someone and then spending those earned credits receiving help in return. Everyone is valued equally and one hour you give = one credit earned.
TimeBanking is for everyone - that includes residents, youth groups, students, caregivers, businesses, agencies, non-profits, churches, villages, governments, networks, and associations.
Most TimeBanks are place-based and focus on connecting members of the community into networks of giving and receiving.
Think of TimeBanking as a circle of both giving and receiving where members create caring and supportive networks while exchanging services.
These exchanges have equal value. They are valued only in terms of the time spent doing them.
When you are a TimeBank member, you can:
Add an offer
Describe what you're offering to members. Remember this is a global TimeBank and the exchange needs to be able to take place online. Add a photo to attract people to click or tap on your offer and submit a few simple details.
Add a request
Describe your request for other members. Remember this is a global TimeBank and the exchange needs to be able to take place online. Add a photo to attract people to click or tap on your request and submit a few simple details.
Record an exchange
If you have already exchanged with another member without adding an offer or request, you can record the exchange here by selecting how many credits to exchange and typing a short description of what has been exchanged.
